It was super cloudy the day we had scheduled for Holly’s maternity shoot. We went back and forth all day about whether or not we should shoot. This was already the second time we had to reschedule due to all the rain we had this winter. Each day, she was getting bigger and bigger, and our upcoming schedules were conflicting, so we decided to go ahead and shoot anyway! Sometimes you just have to try and make sweet lemonade from sour lemons :)
While overcast skies aren’t necessarily my first choice to have for a shoot, I think we got some amazing shots of Holly and James, who are so excited to welcome their first baby! When Holly stepped out of the car in a beautiful long burgundy dress, I got so excited! I think their outfits were a perfect compliment to the winter-y overcast day we had. I have to say, I’m kind of in love with these pictures. I think I even surprised myself at how well they turned out!
I meant to share these a few weeks ago, but you know…holidays, day job, traveling…but I got an email from Holly yesterday about moving up her newborn shoot because they’ve decided to induce early. So here in a few short weeks, I’ll be sharing some newborn photos of them! I can’t wait!
